How to clean and maintain vinyl plank flooring

Vinyl Plank FlooringWondering how to keep your vinyl plank flooring looking beautiful for years to come? Did you know that dirt and dust particles actually have sharp edges that can damage your floor over time? This is what leads to that “dull” look we all try to avoid. Here are some tips to keep your floors looking their best, and it’s easier than you think! All you need is a broom and vacuum!

1.    Get a good quality broom and use once daily to keep the dust, dirt and hair at bay. You can also use a vacuum if that is your preferred method of cleaning. Both will get the job done!
2.    If you are deep cleaning, make sure to sweep/vacuum thoroughly first, and then break out your mop. Try to avoid mops with a scrub brush option. Microfiber is usually your best bet. It is best to avoid products with harsh chemicals and some warm water and mild soap will get the job done. You can also add a touch of white vinegar to help get that shine back.
3.    Be sure to go over floors once more with clean wet mop to ensure no residue is left behind.

That’s it!! This simple routine will keep your vinyl floors clean and looking as flawless as when you installed them! Feel free to PM us with any questions that you may have!
